The old farmhouse is a family heritage from our nonni Giovanni and Celeste who bought the house during the sixties after looking around for a house with a land in the hilltop countryside. They loved this house set in olives and vines fields with an open view where you can see the village of Manoppello in the distance and the Majella and Gran Sasso mountains in their full majesty.
When it is bright – most of the year – it is possible to see from the 2.793 Monte Amaro’s peak to the Pescara adriatic coast.
Venturino and Francesca, my husband’s parents started taking care of the property since my husband and I decided to opening the house to travellers from all over the world.
We have restored the house and have done a lot of work on the garden and lanscaping taking care of the vines, olives and fruit trees.
The house has been renovated keeping safe the old white stone and brick structure as many rural houses in the area are built. The wooden roof structure in the rooms gives them a rustic and cozy atmosphere.
We know we live in a beautiful place and we love sharing our country house hosting guest in the b&b and restaurant.
We offer a deep authentic experience of the rural abruzzese life. We love cooking for our guests with seasonal product from our garden and local farmers in the area. We do believe it’s important to support small business keeping the food heritage tradition alive. You can taste homemade pasta made with ancient local grains from the mill and ricotta and pecorino cheese from the local shepherds, grill meat from small and sustainable farmers and lots more.
We love offering to our gest the chance to enjoy countryliving thinking it’s very important to slow down and taste slow, homemade, seasonal, organic, food and wine.
We cook for our guest and for private events on reservation. We offer farm-to-table coking classes to discover and improve the cucina abruzzese knowledge and foodie tour sto visit the farmers where we use to buy products for our restaurant.
We offer to our guests 4 beautiful rooms with a view, each one with private bathroom, decorated using old furniture we found in the house or bought in vintage markets we loved renovating.
